Dr Kelly van Amersfort

Kelly van Amersfort is a veterinarian and European Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology (Dipl. ECVD). After graduating in 2013, she worked for seven years as a first-opinion small animal veterinarian. During this time, her interest in dermatology grew, leading her to pursue further specialisation through international continuing education (ESAVS) and an ECVD residency, which she completed in 2023.

Today, Kelly works as a veterinary dermatologist and provides education and lectures for veterinarians and other animal health professionals. Through her company, Huidadvies voor Dieren, she shares her expertise through lectures, social media and an educational website. Her focus is on translating scientific knowledge into practical, applicable tools for everyday veterinary practice.

In addition to dermatology, she has a particular interest in nutrition and gut health. She has completed training in orthomolecular therapy for dogs and is currently furthering her knowledge in integrative nutrition and gut therapy for dogs and cats.
